Christmas Trees for Troops - Eastern New York

Each year, the Trees for Troops program provides thousands of free, farm-grown Christmas trees to members of the United States military and their families. The trees are donated by Christmas tree farmers, retailers and the public, and then delivered via FedEx to more than 70 military bases across the United States and overseas.

Since the program began in 2005, Trees for Troops has delivered more than 225,000 Christmas trees to all branches of the armed forces. During that time, the Ellms Family has coordinated the Trees for Troops effort in eastern New York, serving both as a tree donor and the FedEx pick-up point for trees donated by eastern New York Christmas tree farmers.
